So it seems why you have the ""An incompatible SQL Server version was detected" issue that is you are using the SQL Server 2016 database engine (which is not even out yet) with the Visual Studio SQL Server 2014 tooling (which likely does a version check
to ensure it is used against SQL Server 2014 or earlier).
So more likely you should go in Programs Add/Remove to remove the SQL Server 2016 engine and install SQL Server 2014 instead.
